Annual Report 2016-2017
We believe in the power of harnessing creativity to generate lasting change. We are passionate and driven in our mission to empower youth to create more meaningful futures for themselves and their communities.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees and staff of Human Ventures (Human), it gives me great pleasure to share our first online Annual Report. 2017 has been a big year for our programs and enterprise arm with strong growth and exciting deliverables across the organisation.
The social impacts of our core program, Creative Tracks, as well as the creative outcomes delivered by Human’s other community engagement projects, have empowered many young people to create more meaningful futures. Throughout the year, the team at Human have worked tirelessly to achieve this important work and have played a major role in addressing disadvantage whilst building confidence, hope and resilience in our program participants.
Our creative design arm, Human Creative, has again partly subsidised Human’s operations and programs and has worked with many not-for-profit, government and corporate clients to deliver graphic design, digital story telling projects, videos, websites and a variety of other creative outcomes.
I would further like to thank the Tim Fairfax Family Foundation and Arts Queensland for the generous funding they have provided, as well as the other funders and individual donors that support the delivery of our programs. The generosity of all our supporters and partners makes everything we do possible and we are immensely grateful.
